We believe that wearing a school uniform promotes a sense of pride, belonging, and equality among our students. Our uniform policy ensures that all pupils are dressed appropriately for learning, representing our school community with respect and professionalism.

- The full school uniform is compulsory for all students and must be worn correctly at all times, including during school hours and while traveling to and from school.
- There is a maximum of two mandatory branded uniform items.
- The school provides second-hand uniforms and offers financial assistance; families should contact postbox@liftbeaconhigh.org for support.
Mandatory Uniform Items
- Blazer: Must be worn at all times, except when teachers give permission to remove them in lessons or when in the playgrounds. Must be bought from roughcutcasuals.co.uk
- Tie: School tie must be worn at all times. Must be bought from roughcutcasuals.co.uk
- Shirt: White, long-sleeved or short-sleeved, and must be tucked in. Can be bought from any supplier.
Bottoms (Alternative Wear):
- Black Trousers: Must be worn at the waist or above. Can be bought from any supplier.
- Black Skirt: Must be knee-length. Can be bought from any supplier.
- Black Shoes: Footwear must be plain black. Can be bought from any supplier.
- PE Kit: Includes a black sports polo shirt (a branded option is available from the school supplier), plain black shorts/jogging bottoms, and sports trainers. Can be bought from any supplier.
Grooming and Additional Items
- Optional Jumper: A plain black v-neck jumper with the school logo is optional.
- Religious/Cultural Attire: Optional items like hijabs and turbans must be in school colors (black, white, purple, or grey).
- Outdoor Clothing: Outdoor coats are advised but must not be worn inside the classroom. Prohibited items include hats, caps, sweatshirts, hoodies, and tracksuit tops.
- Appearance: Make up, nail polish, and nail extensions are prohibited.
- Jewelry: Limited to one pair of small stud earrings, a nose stud, and a watch. Other piercings are not allowed.
- Mobile Phones: Not permitted in school; they must be turned off and placed in the provided Yondr pouch
Non-compliance and Exemptions
- Consequences: Students who fail to adhere to the policy will be sent home to correct the uniform and will face sanctions.
- Exemptions: Parents/guardians must provide a written explanation for medical or other valid reasons to seek a temporary exemption.
